Hi. I’m Kayla, better known as Olive, and I’m a plant-based baker. I was born in New Orleans, LA, where my heart for food, culture, and community began. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated with making things from scratch. I LOVE the idea of taking flour, sugar, and salt and mixing them together to create something amazing while knowing exactly what’s in it. I also love seeing the faces of my friends and family when they’re trying one of my new creations and they realize that it’s vegan. Now, I’m delighted to share that experience with you.

OLIVE VEGAN GOODS
It all started one summer between college semesters, when I lived with a friend who happened to be a plant-based chef. She opened my eyes to the possibility of eating food with no animal products that actually tasted good. We made cashew butter and banana nut muffins that changed my life. It was then that I realized that a life without meat (and cheese) is possible. I also noticed how my body felt and reacted. I felt lighter, more energized. I soon gave up dairy, then shortly after, meat all together. With prayer and consideration, I took a leap of faith. I’ve been vegan now for little over five years and I feel better than ever. There’s so much joy in creating plant-based foods and pastries that are so good, you wouldn’t even know what’s “missing.” I believe that’s the way vegan pastries and desserts should be. In 2019, I decided to share that belief with the world by creating Olive Vegan Goods. Here at OVG, we craft the most delicious vegan cookies with love and care. They are made from the finest plant-based ingredients, ensuring a guilt-free indulgence for all cookie and dessert lovers. So, grab yourself some Olive Vegan Goods, and enjoy the good life :)
